This policy describes how WineVistas Limited collects and uses your personal information when you visit winevistas.com or buy from us. We are the data controller: WineVistas Limited, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, registered in England and Wales, company number 15506771. What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number and the details of what you bought. Your card details go directly to our payment provider through encrypted checkout; we never see or store full card numbers.

When you browse the site we collect device information through cookies and similar technologies: your IP address, browser type, the pages and products you view, and the site or search that referred you.

If you sign up to our mailing list, we hold your email address for that purpose.

How we use your information

We use order information to fulfil and deliver your order, take payment, send confirmations and invoices, and deal with any queries or returns. This is the performance of our contract with you. We also use it to verify age where required for the sale of alcohol, to screen orders for fraud, and to keep the accounting records the law requires us to keep.

If you have bought from us or signed up to our list, we may email you about our wines and offers. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

We use device information to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising, so we can improve both.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the services that run the business, and only what each needs: Ecwid by Lightspeed, which powers our online shop; our payment provider, which processes your payment; the couriers and logistics partners who store and deliver your wine; Google, whose analytics tell us how the site is used; Meta, whose pixel measures our advertising; and Automattic (WordPress and Jetpack), which helps run the site. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, with safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

The site uses essential cookies to run the shop and your basket, and analytics and advertising cookies from Google and Meta as described above. You can control and delete cookies in your browser settings; allaboutcookies.org explains how.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as legal, tax and accounting obligations require. Your email stays on our mailing list until you unsubscribe. If you ask us to delete your information, we will remove everything we are not legally required to keep.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected, deleted or restricted; to object to processing; to receive a copy in a portable form; and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Email orders@winevistas.com and we will act on your request. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Under 18s

This site sells alcohol and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from under-18s.
